hiking/photo shoot at griffith park.

we didn't plan on a photo shoot. it just sorta happened.

this usually happens when im with my girls. today i went hiking with my girlies christal and ethel. oh and i can't forget Manong Fernando--he was our driver for the day. not to mention also tour guide but that didn't work out too well he didn't know where the hell he was taking us. lol. oh, i also forgot photographer.

we were supposed to go in the morning with cindy and collie but i was too damn sleepy and crampy to go, and cindy and collie had plans for the afternoon. so when afternoon rolled around, i was more well rested and down to go. and im so glad we did, cuz we had sooo much fun.

we grabbed some lunch and had ourselves a lil' picnic at griffith park. we realized how beautiful it was. some of us hadn't been there since we were kids. after eating we were off. the dogs came along. Toby, Bentley, and Kisses. they had a blast. sometimes i feel bad for the dogs, being cooped up in the house all day, so it's always nice to take 'em out to nature, and let them run around. look at my boys B and Toby. they got big smiles on their faces. soo cute and happy!
we met some kids while we were doing our first photo shoot in the grass. these two twins and little hispanic girl named Tamara, whose parents were in vegas for the weekend. she was with her grandpa who was there for some convention/prayer meeting. it was a lil scary cuz ppl were praying and getting prayed over and crying. i could understand this being in a church, but at the park? well it's cool. whateva floats your boat.

we saw the site of the old LA zoo, which was here from 1912-1965, before moving to its present location. crazy huh? that means it's been there almost 100 years!

there's our tour guide Manong Fernando, pointing to shit and pretending he knows what he's talking about. "Der is some trees, der is da grass... and ober der is da forest." what the fuck? lol its cool fernando... thank god u didn't get us lost though. haha.when we were about done, we layed in the grass and had our photographer take photos of us.

all in all a fun day. i definitely wanna make this a habit. I wanna have a lil partythere for Toby's 3rd birthday !!! I'll let y'all know the details.

yesterday was a shitty day at work. some days are just like that. crazy busy, no break. not even to pee. but whatevs. change will happen. i believe in destiny. and karma. what goes around will come around inevitably.  i guess i just been down and out about things... re-evaluating my future. goals and shit like that. like bein' stuck at a job where im not really happy... but hey, we goin through tough times right now.. everyone is. i think this is a motivator for me to persevere and refocus on the things i really want to do in life. be happy. its your life. do with it what u want right?

anyways. on shitty days its nice to think of something that inspires you and makes you feel grateful for what you have. hey, i got a loving fam, my sexxy bitches, my sweet boyfriend, the clothes on my back, n the roof over my head, so why am i bitchin'? there are so many peeps out there in the struggle, hustlin to feed their kids. peeps who been workin the same job for 20-30 years, then... *POOF* their job is gone. laid off. what the fuck? these peeps have kids! & mortgages! & other shit! so i'm grateful for my job... despite these shitty days.

salsa. without the chips.

today we (me, adrian, christal, mark, & ethel) went to salsa class at the gym. it was fun but dayumm it was hard. well at least some moves we could catch on to, but by the time we got 'em down, the instructor (who had a long ponytail and moved his body like a noodle) was showing us some dammn new moves. but probably what was most entertaining was seeing adrian and mark do the girly swing your hip, shimmy your chest type actions. lol. it takes a real man to do that. and that you guys are!!! lol u know u loved that shit. next week again guys?

well the boys lasted about 15 minutes and we girls lasted about 30. it was a 60 min class. and this indian girl who was at the back of the class with us left when we did too. we were the amateurs. everyone else there seemed like freakin ballroom dance champions. but i think the more we go the more pro we'll get. it was a fun way to burn them calories off. something new. it's always refreshing trying something new.

hello kitty's been everywhere lately. remember back in high school we used to go to sanrio surprises at eagle rock plaza? and u remember double stamp tuesdays? gosh. how nostalgic. i think thats why i love her so much. brings back those warm fuzzy childhood memories. i also miss pochacco, little twin stars, and keroppi. oh n badtz-maru too! haha. i also have this little like one gallon hello kitty water dispenser in my bedroom.

yo momma.

it was my mom's bday yesterday. she turned the big 55. her coworkers at kaiser have this tradition of throwing big birthday parties when someone turns 55. her party was at barrio fiesta and there was a band or in tagalog slang "combo." she had so much fun, she's so cute. for her birthday gift i took her to the one of those korean spas in Ktown. she got to soak in the hot mineral spring water, get a body scrub from a middle aged korean lady, and got a facial. she loved it.

let's all take a moment to ponder about how important yo momma is. she gave birth to u. she (probably) breastfed u. changed your diaper. spanked you. lectured you. encouraged you. pushed you too hard. screamed at you. pulled your hair. (ya i was a badass) congratulated you. educated you. loved you.

each and every one of us would not be in this world without our mommas. my mom took on the role of a father also. she raised me and my sisters pretty much on her own. i lover her so much, no matter how crazy she drives me at times. she's my momma. <3 you nay!

chillin' in the park on a sunday afternoon.

We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful LA weather so we decided to give the boys a treat n take 'em to the park. They had a blast running and frolicking around, big smiles on their faces, tails waggin like crazy. here they are. they look like they're flying don't they?



We went to griffith park which we discovered was pretty poppin' on sundays. There was a pony ride where kids got to ride along a small trail. Looked so cute and fun. brought back some bad memories for adrian tho. When he was lil he came here and they wouldn't let him ride because he was too fat for the small ponies and too small for the big ponies. poor baby. haha lol sorry babe its funny. who's down to go horeback riding? i never been. we should try it.

And here were two ponies out in the open chillaxin, being fed by any kids who were willing. I tried to get a turn but these kids were hogging em. Whatev. Brats.
